First Day back

First day back to school for my peeps.  Morgan was very confident and proud to be going to a new big boy pod.  Lilly was bouncing up and down with excitement and it was difficult to get a photo of her at all. Lilly looked so big and grown up in her uniform, it made my heart just squeeze.

Lilly ran into class and started playing with the toys and activities, introducing herself and generally being very comfortable being there.

I was totally fine until the teacher gave me a little bag and I read the note. I had to hurriedly say goodbye to Lilly and went out side with tears welling in my eyes.

Inside the bag was  teabag, a cottonwool bud and a tissue.

"Here is a little gift for you as you leave your precious one with us on the first day of school. As you hold this cotton ball in your hand, the softness will help you remember the gentle spirit of your child.  After you 've gone home and dried your tears, make yourself a cup of tea.  Put your feet  up and relax. remember that together we will work for you child to be the best we can be."

nup .. just lost it again as the tears are running down my face.
