It gave Morgan and Lilly a good overview of Roman life in occupied Britannia and an idea how much imagination is needed when looking at ruins and digs. The audio system they had for kids was great, with visuals and voices which made it all come alive.
Though it was a bit of a grim grey day, it was a perfect time to explore this living museum. Lilly charmed the stone mason who gave us much more info than I think the kids wanted, but stuff I just lapped up.
