Into Sarria

It was a pretty wet miserable day out of Tricastella and into Sarria. The walk was a mix of road side. ( ikkk) and mountain tracks through beautiful farm land and beside lots of waterfalls.

We had a big stop in Samos to explore the Monastery and luckily missed the worst of the rain while we were inside.

I hadnt realised Sarria was such an industrial or big town, as last year, we arrived on the bus and quickly escaped into the old part of town. Given the lateness of our arrival and that Sarria is the jump spot for hundreds of keen bushytailed new pilgrims, I had booked ahead and got us a pension - for the same price as an Albergue I may add.

Though getting there and access was a bit of a pain, the pay off was def worth it! I had a bed to myself.. In a different room!! Oh the bliss!! To add to this, the wifi was super fast, so video chats to Michael were uninteruppted , which makes a huge difference over the hours we normally talk .
