so to catch you up with all the exciting news. ( don't get too excited now...)
Well – what a start to the year – a wedding already!Plus I cannot believe that it is only a week till Morgan goes back to school! I have just dragged out all his uniforms and made sure they all fit – got names in them etc and made the trip to the stationers to get all his book list stuff.
I guess the big news here is that I am now an editor for an online Mothers Magazine – of sorts – called Type A Mom. I need to write a weekly editorial in my section – the Suburban Mom and edit any submissions which come my way. Although I blog all the time – I am a bit nervous about it all – the pressure of a deadline each week – I know – its only 600 words….so please come and visit each week and leave a comment! I’ll post the links each week here..
Busy as always with the writing – trying different things on the internet to promote our Reclaim site. Its take a bit of a back seat though this month as Jodi, Paul and I have committed to editing 12 of our best stories from last year in an anthology to sell on line. We have set a target of having them edited by the end of the month. Just when I think I had a great story I re-read them and see so many holes in it… groan. Been busy getting my web design skills up and running too – so much to learn – just when I think I crack something – a whole new world opens up – its all very frustrating sometimes.
We have dear friends whom we have promised to visit all holidays – and now it has become urgent – so we are going for an over night stay – dangerous – as Jodi, Michelle and I have not been together for so long and have so much to catch up on – so looking forward to it all on Tuesday. They now live in Kingscliffe near the river and beach – so I think we will be hanging about a bit there on Tues and Wed.
This week has been just catching up with tidy ups after all visitors have gone – and takings stock in organisng the house. Our garage looks fantastic – a major clean out there. We have been to Ikea lots – and been busy with shelving – especially for the library. Age is so delighted to have a workshop he can now just lay a hand on and grab whatever he needs – lots of fiddly little jobs have now been done.
The lawn is mowed and that glorious smell is wafting in – mixed with the great Aussie BBQ smell. So I guess – life in suburbia.. just about sums us up this week
